Mr. Thomas W. Reese receives the 2008 Norman Foust Award

Mr. Thomas W. Reese has been named recipient of the Norman W. Foust Award.

Recently, the Printing Industries of the Carolinas announced that Mr. Thomas W. Reese, owner of Hickory Printing and major supporter of the Graphic Arts and Imaging Technology degree program at Appalachian State University, has been named recipient of the Norman W. Foust Award.

The PICA Foundation presents the award to members of the Association for outstanding contributions to the printing industry, to their community and to their fellow man.

Mr. Reese is one of only nine winners since the award was created in 1979. He joins a noteworthy group of individuals who have dedicated their lives to serving others. The printing industry in particular has benefited from Mr. Reese’s wisdom and guidance.

Students and faculty at Appalachian State University have also benefited from Mr. Reese’s kind and generous support. His visionary guidance has led the Graphic Arts and Imaging Technology degree program toward acquiring equipment such as the Komori Sprint 26 and Fuji Pictroproof. His commitment to helping GAIT students and faculty obtain the best educational experience has greatly advanced print and media education at Appalachian State University.
